After a lot of persuading and convincing , I finally thought.. yeah may be i should blog!! I always have some thing to say about everything pretty much, but usually its inside my head or on paper!!
So my very first post i thought should be about where i live, a part of the country that most people are unaware of. Well okie.. some-most people. So this "Sad little devoid of civilization town" has a name... OH my!!! its called Mayiladuthurai a.k.a Mayavarm! Well if you're an indian by the name you'd have figured that it is a village, but people who've lived their lives out here all these years, somehow get offended everytime i say "Mayavaram is a village". Oh btw you should know it does exist on google maps! i was rather surprised that it did exist but then when i was looking out for the street where i live apparently it doesn't exist on the map!! So what now i belong to no where or do i belong to some sort of virtual world? Well anyway i did get over that soon enough (apparently not.. since i chose to mention it in this post) . There is one good thing about living here though its just a two and a half hour ride away from Pondy, so weekends are usually fun as i get go to Pondicherry! Obviously not all weekends, although i do wish i could though go there all weekends!!! But then that'll just be asking for too much!! Any way coming back to "sad little village" part, why do i call it so??? Because honestly it is. It is surrounded by gazellions of temples which is okie... I;m not against that but you do need to understand that when i say surrounded by temples .. i mean there is no source of entertainment here. There are theatres very shady though, they look like the kind hopeless young couples would go to make out it!!! Yuck!! God knows what I'd find on the seats!!! Gross!!! There are stores, the people here call it "super market" but what's a super market without Dove Shampoo-Conditioner or Vaseline lotion. Everytime i go to Pondy i end up buying cosmetics and and other essentials!!! There is not even a decent store here to buy clothes from... its either"BLING BLING" or "BLAH BLAH". I cant carry off either... I;m sorry that i just wasn't blessed with that gift!! We don't even get vegetables here... atleast not variety of them.. ll we get is Potato, eggplant, okra, bittergourd, pumpkin, beans and some other things that look like beans, onions and tomatoes; not even decent spinach!!! And i love Spinach!! And i was a sea-(wo)man a year back!!! And no just incase you were wondering i did not have sudden flashes of super power like Popeye would!! And there are no decent restraunts here... no pizzas , no burgers. Shops claim to have it but trust me its the Indian Version, and fair warning do not try it!!!!
So why do i live in a "sad little village " like this you ask well only Because mum and dad are here!! My mum and dad and I hadn't lived together in the same place for a long time until last year when i returned from ships for good!!! Their work took them places and my studies and work took me places!! So i decided its time i come home and so i did!!! But I've been home now more than a year and am honestly bored to death!!! But things are likely to change in my life pretty soon ... so i guess the time i do have left living here... Im just going to relish the beauty of this place and make the best use of what ever i find!!!
